Updated: Feb 8, 2022

We are today delighted to announce the Fair Play Foundation will be the title sponsor of the Glasgow Community & Co-Operative League (GCCL) for the forthcoming 2021/2022 season.

The GCCL is an amateur Sunday league, set up to promote tolerance, equality and inclusivity through football.

As part of the sponsorship, the league will be known as the Fair Play Foundation GCCL for the duration of the 2021/22 season.

The sponsorship also includes the ongoing league cup, which will be known as the Fair Play Foundation League Cup.

Mark Reid, CEO of the Fair Play Foundation, said the following of the sponsorship:

“The Fair Play Foundation are delighted to become the title sponsor of the Glasgow Community & Co-operative League and League Cup for the forthcoming season.

We strongly believe in the unique power of sports clubs to bring people together and affect wider social and community change throughout Scotland. Therefore we are delighted to align ourselves with, and support, a league in which so many diverse, positive and impactful clubs compete and co-operate for the greater good.

The League committee said the following of their partnership with the Fair Play Foundation:

“We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with the Fair Play Foundation, a charity whose work and values accord perfectly with those of the GCCL. We are looking forward to working together across the season to promote positive change through football.”
