We are looking to recruit a volunteer manager for our Glasgow on the Ball United team.
On the Ball FC is a football club with a difference. Established as a way to raise funds for, and awareness of, international sport for development charity Africa on the Ball, On the Ball FC now runs 4 teams (including GotB United) under the banner of the Fair Play Foundation, with further plans to grow the pathway.
Glasgow on the Ball United was the second team launched as part of the On the Ball FC family and have been competing in the Glasgow Community and Cooperative League (GCCL) since 2019.
The team finished 7th (exactly mid-table) in the GCCL in the 2022/23 season and are looking to kick on in the forthcoming campaign.
We are looking for an individual (or two) to help support the development of the team through delivery of weekly training (which currently takes place on Wednesday evenings between 8.30pm-10pm at Glasgow Green) and on match days (which take place on Sundays at various times across various venues).
Although it is preferable that the individual has prior coaching experience and qualificiations, this is not essential and it is more important that the person understands the ethos of the organisation, is committed to its values and wants to support the progress of the team and its members.
The individual would be supported by the On The Ball FC background team who manage the administration and finances involved in running the club.
